Privacy Policy
Last updated:
At Ascendance Studio, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you visit our website or use our services.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you book a class, sign up for a newsletter, or contact us. This may include:
- Name and contact details (email address, phone number)
- Student information (name, age, date of birth)
- Emergency contact information
- Health or medical information relevant to dance instruction
Payment Information
We do not store your payment card details on our servers. All payments specifically for bookings and tuition are securely processed through third-party payment processors, including Stripe and Paperform. These processors adhere to strict security standards (PCI-DSS) to ensure your financial data is protected.
Photography and Video Recording
Ascendance Studio frequently takes photographs and videos of students during classes, rehearsals, and recitals for promotional purposes, including use on our website, social media channels, and marketing materials. By enrolling or participating in our events, you consent to the use of these images. If you have specific privacy concerns regarding this, please contact us directly.
How We Use Your Information
- To process your registration and class bookings.
- To communicate with you about schedules, events, and studio updates.
- To ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
- To improve our website and services.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use this site — which pages they read, and which ones lead to a booking. These tools set cookies in your browser and collect standard information such as your IP address, your device, and the pages you visit. We also set one cookie of our own, to remember whether you chose English or Spanish.
When you book a trial class after arriving from one of our ads, we tell Google Ads that the booking happened, so we know which ads are worth paying for. Your email address and phone number are scrambled into an unreadable code in your own browser, using a method called hashing, before any of it is sent. Google can use that code to tell whether you are someone who already saw the ad, but neither Google nor anyone else can turn it back into your email address or your phone number. We never send anything about your child.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site keeps working; it will simply ask you for your language again. Videos on this site play through Vimeo with do-not-track enabled, so the player sets no tracking cookies of its own.
